COURSES & TRAINING

Taking your riding to the next level.

Cynbel Lodge offers riding courses for those who want to take their riding to the next level. Whether for the pleasure of riding a horse, working towards horse ownership, or for those who maybe want to concentrate on a particular discipline. We have developed a Riding and Horse-Care Course that offers tuition to beginner child riders. One of the main focusses during these riding courses is building rider confidence, and in this regard, our safe, well-mannered ponies have all been chosen because of their good nature. This allows the rider to concentrate on learning without worrying about the pony's temperament.

The courses also covers everything from grooming and handling, health, anatomy, to mucking out stables, saddling up, veterinary pointers, and many more aspects of stable and horse management.

PONYWORX PROGRAM

How does it work?
Our PONYWORX PROGRAM is an integrated approach to riding lessons where coaches provide riders with feedback on their strengths and scaffold their new learning while engaging in a variety of holistic, hands-on, and theory-based experiences. Riders are encouraged to set a goal and work through various aspects of horse care and riding skills.

No matter how long they have been riding or their prior experience, all riders start at the first level; riders may not skip levels. In order to move up a level, the rider must consistently show all-level skills over four or more lessons. At the end of each month, coaches will evaluate riders in our program and consider level advancement.

Levels are a mix of mounted and unmounted learning. Each level is intending to build on the previous information learnt in the one before it as a progressive learning model. The levels introduce broad concepts, which gain more substance as they progress. We call this our rider training hierarchy.
